a) Apply four levels of interacting with the text to Tagore’s “Cabuliwallah” or Paudyal’s “The Parrot in the cage”.
OR
Compare and contrast ancient tales Yudhisthira’s Wisdom and Kings David’s crime. Explain specific moral, spiritual and ethical aspects of human life both these ancient tales emphasize.
b) Discuss the role of technology in business with appropriate examples.
OR
Think of a new product/ new technology that can make your lives better or a new use for a product. What is it? How does it work?
2. Answer the following questions (Any Five)
a) Out of the four texts under section television, which one do like most? Explain why this is more convincing than the others.
b) Explain whether Litvak from the story “If Not Higher” by I.L. Peretz is a critical thinker? Do you think he took his doubts too far?
c) Compare and contrast between two dogs, Shep and Stickeen on the basis of your reading of the stories ” Shep’s Hobby” and “Stickeen”.
d) Describe any particular job you would like to do after you complete your graduate studies? What are some specific qualities, qualifications, work- experience and skills you need to have for that job?
e) Your family plans to open a restaurant. But the location has not been decided. What aspects of a place would you consider while choosing the location for the restaurant?
f) Suppose you work as a manager in a company’s headquarter. Write an email to the newly appointed sales officer describing his/her job and responsibilities at a sales office.

f) What do you lose and what do you gain by going to university?
