It is a group of people with shared values, behavior and artifacts.<br \/>\nIt is a place where people come together to share common interests and resources. It is a set of people living in a particular space or region and usually linked by a common interest.<\/p>\n<p>According to E.S. Bogardus, \u201dCommunity is a social group some degree of \u2018we \u2013feelings\u2019 and living in a given area\u201d. In short, it is a place where the people live in a group either rural or urban.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Characteristics of Community:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We feeling:- each people have their own feelings and they trust each other.<\/li>\n<li>A group of people:- a group is small and large. But without a group, it can\u2019t be created.<\/li>\n<li>A definite locality:- It has a certain emotional attachment towards a particular geographical location.<\/li>\n<li>No legal status:- It is governed through mechanical solidarity, they are controlled by their own local norms and values.<\/li>\n<li>Similarity:- people have many common things with each other like culture, language, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elements of Community are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Essential elements are described below:<br \/>\nI ) Group of people<br \/>\nii) Definite locality<br \/>\niii) Community Sentiment<br \/>\niv) Likeness<br \/>\nv) Permanency<br \/>\nvi) Neutrality<br \/>\nviii) Size<br \/>\nvii) A particular Name<\/p>\n<p>1.Rural community<\/p>\n<p>It is set outside of the city and towns. Rural communities are often farmlands. There are a few buildings, businesses, and people in rural communities. In these communities, people live far apart from one another. A rural area is an open swath of land that has few homes or other buildings, and not very many people. A rural area&#8217;s population density is very low. Many people live in a city, or urban area. Urban community<\/p>\n<p>It is a big city a town. It is considered an urban community if there are more than 2500 people in urban communities are often busy and crowded. They have Strong &#8216;we feelings between and Among the Members: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a group of people using the same language, conforming to the same ti mores, feeling the same sentiments, and acting upon the same activities h create the &#8216;we- feelings&#8217; among members. They have primary relationships with each other with high m social capital mediated through trust and long acquaintance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Spontaneous Growth:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the social and cultural evolution, different cultural groups have evolved and developed naturally then named them accordingly. In order to fulfill their requirements, they eventually made them developed their own culture as a medium same descent but distinct. Though we came geographical variation, food habits, environmental influences, mutation, and genetic character made us different from each other.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. It has a Specific Name and Distinct Cultural Identity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a circle of people who live together and belong together in such a way that they share a whole set of interests. It has a specific name like the &#8216;Tamang&#8217; community having a distinct language, norms, values, myths, mythology, and their own identity. In order to protect their identity, they have established &#8216;Nepal Tamang Ghedung Sangh&#8217;. On a macro level, different associations have been established in Europe and America by the Nepalese Diaspora in order to protect their Nepalese identity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. It has a fixed Geographical Location with has Locality:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Community certain emotional attachment towards a particular geographical location. They have belongingness, respect, and we-feelings towards the particular territory. It has the social solidarity and unity towards that very region like &#8216;Raj Bamsi&#8217; community is living in an eastern Terai region where they feel belongingness.
