Derived from the Spanish word <strong>Casta<\/strong> meaning \u2018Breed or, Lineage\u2019 (families from which they are directly related). The word caste also signifies \u2018Race or, Kind\u2019. The Caste System owes its origin to the Varna System.<\/p>\n<p>According to the \u2018Chaturvarna Doctrine,\u2019 <strong>the Hindu Society<\/strong> is divided into 4 main Castes. Namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brahmins,<\/li>\n<li>Kashtriyas,<\/li>\n<li>the Vaishyas,<\/li>\n<li>The Shudras.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Caste<\/strong> is the hierarchical division of society. Which have been fixed into Two basic Social Characteristics, \u201cSo-called <strong>touchable<\/strong> and so-called <strong>Untouchables<\/strong>). It is a major factor especially In Nepali and Indian society.<\/p>\n<p>Hindu religion practices the caste system more victoriously, since 3000 BC.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Hindu \/Aryan<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brahmin Supposed to be Higher Caste(To educate, priest, Worshipping).<\/li>\n<li>Kashtriyas is Considered as second higher caste,(politics, Armforce, Police)<\/li>\n<li>Vaishyas are middle caste (Bussiness, Agriculture)<\/li>\n<li>Shudras are considered as lower caste(To provide Service for all above casts)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Such a caste system is found in other South Asian countries too. The caste system has <strong>caused social, economic, and political stratification and inequality<\/strong>. <strong>In western countries<\/strong>, societies are divided on the basis of <strong>Race (white and Blacks)<\/strong>. There is a color based on Social Discrimination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Definitions Of Caste:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C.H Cooley, \u201cwhen a class is somewhat strictly heredity, we may call it a caste.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>D.N.Majumdar and TN. Madan has said that \u201cCaste is a Closed Group.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Lundberg, \u201dA Caste is merely a rigid social class into which members are born and from which they can draw an escape only with extreme difficulty.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Caste Breed Stratification in Nepal<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nepalese Society is mainly based on Hindu Barna System.<\/li>\n<li>The caste system has existed in Nepalese society since the Vedic Age.<\/li>\n<li>According to the census 2001 (80.61%), people are Hindus in Nepal.<\/li>\n<li>It has been declared to be illegal to practice Caste System in Nepalese Society- The Muluki Ain (Civil Code) 2020 has abolished (formally ended) caste discrimination and untouchables.<\/li>\n<li>The so-called lower Caste people have been deprived of worshiping in the Temple, participating in Public Ceremonies, and even they have been misbehaved in Schools.<\/li>\n<li>Such Evil Practices and misbehave should be corrected through social Awareness.
