It is the\u00a0 most frequently used digital display in calculators, digital counters, digital clocks, measuring instruments, etc. Usually, the displays like LED\u2019s as well as LCD\u2019s are used to display the characters as well as numerical numbers. But, a seven segment display is used to display both the numbers and characters.<\/p>\n<p>It is of two type<\/p>\n<p>Two types of seven segment LED display:<\/p>\n<p>Common Cathode Type: In this type of display all cathodes of the seven LEDs are connected together to the ground or -Vcc (hence, common cathode) and LED displays digits when some \u2018HIGH\u2019 signal is supplied to the individual anodes.<br \/>\nCommon Anode Type: In this type of display all the anodes of the seven LEDs are connected to battery or +Vcc and LED displays digits when some \u2018LOW\u2019 signal is supplied to the
