The third thought was written by an English essayist E.V (Edward Verrall).<\/p>\n

1.Literal Comprehension<\/strong><\/p>\n

The narrator’s friend was not a successful businessman. Once the writer’s friend while visiting New York bought a painting thinking that it was by Tuner. He got it at a cheap price Since the seller was also confused about its originality. with the painting, he went to longer & sold it at fifty pounds. He was so much happy that he decided to show share the profit & wrote a letter but having no stamp, he thought it quite inappropriate to share the profit but still thought of sending ten pounds only. His thinking kept on changing & couldn’t sleep well. Again, he shared, the Goddess would be angry & he thought it was he who knew the value of the painting. If he had known it, he wouldn’t have given him at such a cheap rate, so it is wrong to send him the profit. Finally, he decided to send only a pound. Early in the morning, he went outside & spent all his money on gambling. Finally, he concluded that buying & selling are straightforward matters. Everyone in this matter tries to get the benefit. The buyer once paid for the goods has no obligation.<\/p>\n

2.Interpretation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The essay may be trying to tell us that man is impulsive by nature & that those who are practical-minded become successful in life. The rich are not sentimental, so they can collect a lot of money. The so-hearted ones want to share even the profit earned fairly & they cannot collect wealth. The essay also can be interpreted to mean that man is ever generous at first when he has to help. Others or give something to others. He wants to do everything fairly. But the more he realized that he has to help. Finally, he does not like to do anything at all. The writer has made fun of this human weakness.<\/p>\n

3.Critical Thinking<\/strong><\/p>\n

To a large extent, this essay seems realistic, but still, we can raise some questions about the essay real when the narrators are: Does it seem real when the narrator’s friend says that he bought in the dearest markets & sold in the cheapest?<\/p>\n

–<\/strong>Is he an idealist as he mentioned?
\n–<\/strong>Would he have sent half of the profit if he had stamps that right?<\/p>\n

4.Assimilation<\/strong><\/p>\n

This study remains me of the event that took place last year with my brother. He failed in grade ‘g’.Then he decided to study for 10 hours because he realized a game is also necessary. Later on, decide to study the usual hours as he did in the past because his other friends were also spending time playing.<\/p>\n
