It supports individual and group goals, which leads to higher performance.<\/p>\n<p><em>Circumstances for functional conflict:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conflicts develop cohesiveness among group members.<\/li>\n<li>Conflicts lead to innovation and creativity.<\/li>\n<li>Conflict provides a challenging work environment and enhances opportunities for self-development.<\/li>\n<li>Enhances work culture leads to up-gradation of various systems within the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dysfunctional Conflicts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a destructive form of conflict. It obstructs individuals or groups to perform.<\/p>\n<p><em>The circumstance of dysfunctional conflicts:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When conflict does not lead to a solution.<\/li>\n<li>When basic goals of the organization are neglected.<\/li>\n<li>When people feel defeated.<\/li>\n<li>Conflict may lead to absenteeism and increase employee turnover.<\/li>\n<li>Dual management
